There are many confusing words involved in economics but they are oh-so-important to students' understanding of how our economy works at a basic level. I've even included vocabulary foldable for students to use as you teach what the key terms means for use in interactive notebooks. Students are asked to cut out each sentence and decide whether it fits with the vocabulary words listed below:
capital resources-consumer-currency-demand-economy-entrepreneur-entrepreneurship-export-goods-human resources-import-interdependence-natural resources-opportunity cost-producer-resource-scarcity-services-supply-surplus-tax-trade-want
Students then glue under the correct heading on the included sheet OR paste into a social study interactive journal. An answer key is included for easy grading. Make sure that your students are able to tell the difference between some of the key terms and vocabulary involved in this important unit. This would be a perfect assessment or interactive notebook activity after teaching about economics.
